Particle-Man

Particle-Man is a neon-charged maze chase created specifically for the Atari Jaguar. Across 50 increasingly dangerous levels, familiar arcade fundamentals evolve into Spark Chains, Fruit Fever, Warp Gates, specialist ghosts, particle storms, rechargeable abilities, and a persistent Hall of Sparks. Every character is drawn as a procedural point-cloud silhouette—there are no pre-rendered character sprites—giving the game a visual identity shaped by the Jaguar itself.

This is more than a tribute to the games that inspired it; it is a challenge to master in its own right. Particle-Man rewards quick reactions, careful routing, clever use of Shield, Pulse, and Dash, and the courage to chase one more fruit or vulnerable ghost. The Jaguar has always invited developers to experiment, and Particle-Man is our answer: fast, colorful, demanding, and proudly built for real hardware.

THE RULE The project began with an unusual creative constraint: 

ChatGPT would serve as the game developer. Human creative input was intentionally kept minimal, leaving the AI developer to define the game systems, enemies, campaign structure, procedural art, generated sound, interface and polish.
